Teas to Greet the Spring

Spring will soon be here. This is the season when new life starts to blossom everywhere. Take a walk in the park or around your neighborhood, and you will find vibrant flowers slowly emerging. If you are too busy with household chores or work and do not have the time to enjoy the great outdoors, why not capture the essence of spring right in your tea cup? LUPICIA offers an array of teas adorned with colorful flowers that are delightful to look at, delicious to drink, and rejuvenating to the spirit. It is a time for new beginnings. Welcome to the world of tea as we greet the spring.

Tea and Flowers

Tea leaves readily absorb any type of odor. For this reason, it has long been a part of the culture in southern China and many other parts of Asia to add the scent of flowers to tea. This is done by rolling the tea leaves together with the flower petals of lotus and jasmine when they are in bloom.

In Japanese tea ceremony, the flowers and plants that decorate the space where the tea is enjoyed are sometimes focused on even more than the quality of the tea and ceremony itself, as an important artistic aspect of the ceremony. Taking a moment with tea allows us to leave behind our daily lives and responsibilities and allows us to reflect on the passing of time, exemplified by the four seasons and the cycle of life.

Enjoy the beautiful spring scents of our floral teas blended with colorful flower petals, as a way of resetting your mind.

Blooming Tea

Our blooming teas feature tea leaves hand-rolled and compacted into various shapes such as a ball, an ancient coin, or a mushroom. The tea remains a mystery until you pour hot water over the concealing shapes. The tea leaves will start to awaken as if they have come alive, and will gradually open up in two or three minutes as the tea steeps. Some of the bulbs hide a flower, which blooms in your tea cup. Just watching these charming teas unfurl into a beautiful bouquet seems to heal the mind, offering a meditative and captivating moment.

These teas are made by bringing together long, first flush tea leaves and tying them into a compact form with processed flowers using a string. It is truly an art form. Blooming teas scented with jasmine are especially rare, and can be produced only during a limited season.

These teas are ideal for parties or as a gift. We cordially invite you to give them a try.

Flower Flavored Tea

In the world of tea today, the wonderful scents and accents offered by flowers are extremely important. Flavored tea made by blending flowers, dried fruits, and herbs with either a green or black tea base allows people to enjoy teatime in a deeper, and more enchanting way.

If you can take the time when making tea, get close to the tea leaves and really take in their aroma by lightly breathing on them. You will experience the delicate harmony of scents and colors even more clearly than you would by just drinking the tea out of a cup.

Excite all the senses when brewing tea yourself and make it your everyday ritual.

HEAT-RESISTANT GOBLET $18.00
We recommend using a large heat-resistant glass pot or cup, for easy viewing and to let the blooming teas open up fully. Depending on the size of the teaware and the temperature of the water, you may find it difficult to get the tea to bloom at times. In this case, gently use a spoon to help it along.
